How Synergy Learning Center Was Born

Synergy Learning Center has been taking shape for many years and began in concept and belief from life experiences. 

Dona Lane Eng founder of Synergy Learning Center has not always had an easy life.  She was a single mother of three and struggled both financially and personally.  She had determination, drive and a strong survival instinct and most importantly she received support and avenues for continuing education.  Dona is now a successful business woman and is President of Yardi Consulting & Accounting Services, Inc.  Dona contributes her success to the support, mentoring and education she received through out her life and in turn has given guidance and support to others who are disadvantaged making it possible for them to succeed in life.  Dona Eng believes it is not for lack of ability that many people find themselves in the face of poverty.


Nona Miller volunteers her time to Synergy Learning Center.  Nona has over 20 years combined experience in both social services and property management.  Nona has  first hand experience in seeing how powerful empowerment through education, support and mentoring can be for the disadvantaged.  The end result is individuals who become self sufficient, have better adjusted families, and become contributing members of their communities.  Nona Miller has been committed to sharing her years of experience and expertise with others less fortunate.  Observing others grow into independent and successful contributing members of society has been the most rewarding experience in her professional carreer.

About Us

Synergy Learning Center provides a two week charitable career advancement training program with curriculum (see curriculum) specifically directed to property management within the real estate industry.  Synergy Learning Center sets itself apart because this training provides individuals with the opportunity to establish themselves in a highly regarded profession. Individuals who enroll are preparing themselves not just for employment however are preparing themselves for a career.  Program participants in Synergy Learning Center gain skills to seek and secure employment, obtain knowledge of opportunities available in the property management industry and have hands on experience working in Yardi Systems, Inc. property management software products.  Individuals who qualify must be ready to work hard, be determined and committed to the program.  The end result is a life changing experience.  

Synergy Learning Center graduates are assisted in finding employment with property management companies.  The program participant's knowledge and hands on experience with Yardi Systems, Inc. property management software programs will provide them with an advantage in this field.  Property management companies are continually looking for employable individuals with property management training and hands on experience with Yardi Systems, Inc. software programs.

Synergy Learning Center provides a mentoring program to all program participants.  Program graduates must make a commitment to be mentors to new program participants.  The mentoring program offers continued support for a period of one year after completion.  Each month mentoring sessions are scheduled that offer continued support and training in areas of need in order that all participants and graduates have the tools they need to be self sufficient, empowered, independent and successful.

It is important to the organization that the Governing Board is well represented by individuals who are dedicated to the betterment of others and actively involved in their communities.  The representation of respected professions held by the Governing Board will assure Synergy Learning Center's mission is assured and fulfilled.

  • Assure Quality Assurance of all Funding, Contributions, Donations 
  • Review and Approve the Organization's Training Curriculum
